EMCA PRESS RELEASE, 2012
THE EQUIPMENT MANAGERS COUNCIL of AMERICA ANNOUNCES THE AVAILABILITY OF THE 2012
EDWARD W. PAWLUK, SR. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The award will be presented to one or more individuals who want to pursue a career as a truck or heavy equipment technician, or fleet equipment manager.
WHO MAY APPLY FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND:
Any individual who wants to make heavy equipment-truck repair or management his or her career. The candidate must be sponsored by a member of the Equipment Managers Council of America (the EMCA member must be in good standing). The candidate does not have to be a member of the Equipment Managers Council of America The candidate must be enrolled in an accredited course of study relevant to heavy equipment repair or management at the time the scholarship is awarded to them and show proof thereof.
The applicant must write a two hundred fifty to three hundred fifty word essay on why they want to make, or progress in the heavy equipment-truck field. The applicant shall have an EMCA sponsor’s name included with the essay. Please contact the association for a list of members. The applicant must have his or her educational institutions name and address included with the essay as well as the applicants full name, address and phone number. Alll applications must be submitted by February 1st 2012 If you have any questions or concerns, mail or e-mail your request to any EMCA board member!
The Equipment Managers Council of America’s Board of Trustees will select the winner, or winners. All essays will be read and judged by the EMCA’s trustees. If a single winner is chosen, they can win up to $3000.00. If multiple winners are chosen, the money will be awarded from first place on down.
The scholarship award winners will be chosen on February 3rd, 2012 and will be notified by February 7th 2012. All winners will be invited to attend the EMCA’s meeting on Wednesday night, February 15th 2012, at their own expense and to receive their awards...attendance is not mandatory.
